Staff Book Review
Knuffle Bunny Free: an unexpected diversion
by Mo Willems, 2010
Book Description: Trixie and her family are off on a fantastic trip to visit her grandparents - all the way in Holland! But does Knuffle Bunny have different travel plans?
Trixie goes on an adventure to Holland to visit her Oma & Opa. First plane ride for Trixie and Knuffle Bunny. If you're familiar with Knuffle Bunny like I am, you know Trixie is going to lose Knuffle Bunny somewhere. Where she loses Knuffle Bunny and how she comes to terms with the possibility of never seeing Knuffle Bunny again makes this the best of the Knuffle Bunny books.
The best part of the book is Mo Willem's dedication to his daughter, Trixie, at the end of the story. Even though this is a book for kids, any parent would enjoy the Knuffle Bunny series.
Of course, you can't forget to look for pigeon hidden in the story!
Recommended for Grades K-2.
